Position: Receptionist Post Majority Supports (PMSS)

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Saddle Lake Wahkohtowin Society is committed to ongoing improvement and pursuit of excellence in services to children, youth and families. The Casework Practice Models builds on the evolution to-date and the ongoing evolution of casework practice and directions provided by the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (CYFE Act).
The Receptionist position is responsible for providing reception and clerical support for the Saddle Lake Wahkohtowin Post Majority Supports (PMSS) Office. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting clients, family members, elders, professionals and so forth, in person and on telephone and directing them to appropriate personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/SKILL:
- General Administrative duties to include filing, scanning, copying and mailing for the PMSS Program..
- Greet and direct visitors to appropriate person.
- Receiving referrals for services and directing to appropriate personnel and working closely with Youth, kinship, agency staff, and other Programs
- Develop an effective tracking system for records and distribution of P.O.’s and cheques.
- General knowledge and usage of office equipment, such as; postal meter, xerox, faxing, emails, etc.
- Answering inquiries and telephone calls on behalf of Program staff and processing as required..
- Track attendance of unit staff and their whereabouts during the day and recording into daily attendance sheet to be filled out and sent electronically to the Wahkohtowin HR at the end of every work day.
- Monitors supplies and resources and orders and tracks as needed.

Responsibilities also include:
- Must be punctual
- Ability to communicate with other Agencies and staff
- Conflict Resolution/Management an asset
- Knowledge and proficiency of administrative, clerical, office procedures and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Person must possess the following:
- Administrative Skills Training including proficiency in computers (Excel Training)
(or related training with experience may be considered)
- Knowledge of the Cree Culture and Language
- Valid Driver’s license
- Own transportation, as travel may be required.
- Ability to work independently outside the usual working hours to fit the needs of the families.
- Mandatory requirements: CRIM Check, CYIM Check (Intervention Record Check)

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Employment to commence once interviews and clearances are complete.
